Confidence 6 man tent

The Confidence Holiday Lux 6 Man Dome Tent is a fully functional bargain tent and although it is cheap, it has a Hydrostatic head of 2000mm, and taped seams which should keep the rain off outside of monsoon conditions. It has a 2 x 3 layout which doesn't leave too much communal space. It is the ideal package if you don't want to spend too much cash, but it is not exactly the ideal tent tent for a family if it rains (unless you have ideal children who will sit for hour on end reading a book until the rains subside.

It is a good choice for festivals, and it does have fire retardant materials in its structure. Floor space is 370x 208cm - so get out a tape measure and see if that's enough space for you, if not, look at the model below.

Woodworm Deluxe 8 Man Tent -

Woodworm 8 man tent

Woodworm are a new brand that are rapidly gaining popularity due to the cheap prices of their tents. This is why we couldn't resist putting an 8 man tent in the 6 berth section. They are not state of the art, but for a few of you getting away for the weekend the price makes it almost dispensable. The porch is prop-able, and the tent is waterproof. Carry bag included.

Confidence 8 man tent

This is pretty much the same model as the one above, although it is bigger. The floor space is 415x 320cm, which makes quite a bit of difference although the layout is the same - two sleeping compartments and minimal communal area. At an extra twenty quid we think that it a worthwhile step up as that little bit of extra space always counts unless you are having to carry the tent by hand for long distances in which case that extra weight might be a small annoyance.

For the money it's a good buy, and it may last longer than you think. It's easy to erect, and is taller than the previous model with a highest point height of 185cm, which for us would be the deciding factor.
